A Better Counseling Experience

We want to begin with a wholehearted, “Congratulations!” for taking the first step toward change and life improvement. Whether you have come to the decision on your own or a loved one has encouraged you, it is not always easy to ask for help. Either way, you are on the right path.

We all hold behavior patterns, perceptions, and thoughts that can complicate the way we experience life. While we can’t change difficult circumstances of the past, we can develop different methods for reflecting on them and create a positive and healthy strategy for the inevitable challenges that life throws our way.

Our practice offers empirically based methods, meaning they are scientifically proven, and we use the scientist-practitioner model for evaluating and determining clinical success. If you choose to work with us, we can provide concrete methods for measuring your progress, and to what degree you are progressing.

If you’re looking for thoughtful, empathetic, and professional support and/or guidance through whatever challenge you may be experiencing, or you’re just ready to move your life in a new direction, take a moment to look at what Specialized Counseling Colorado has to offer and decide if it’s right for you.

Meet The Team

Colin David Runge

“I genuinely care about my clients and am involved in this work because I want to be there for you. I’d like to congratulate you on already taking the first step in therapy.”

Licensed Professional Counselor

Licensed Addiction Counselor

Colin advocates a well-rounded lifestyle as a professional counselor and in his personal life, and believes overcoming any life problem requires a lifestyle change. He has a wide range of mental health competencies, and uses empirically based -or scientifically proven- methods.  Hours are set to most convenience his clients needs and only a limited number of clients are accepted at one time in order to commit to their progress.  Colin also offers video therapy as an alternative option for his clients.

Colin primarily specializes in male therapy, but is fully qualified and open to working with females in all capacities as well. His rationale for additional training in adolescent male counseling comes from the understanding that this demographic tends to exhibit mental health symptoms differently than others.
